Good movie, BAD theatre
Overheard outside the Century Cinema 16 (1500 North Shoreline Boulevard, Mountain View, California), after Tuesday's midnight show of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring:
I've been unhappy with Century Theatres for a long time now. I don't enjoy seeing movies at their theatres for various reasons-- sound problems, projection problems, uncomfortable seats, incompetent employees-- but I've allowed other people to drag me there.
I am now absolutely, unequivocally BOYCOTTING Century Theatres. I've had enough. No more exceptions for friends or group outings. I will never visit another Century Theatre in my life.
But hey, the movie was great. I highly recommend seeing it at any of these good bay area theatres:
Jack London Cinema (THX)
100 Washington St.
Oakland, CA 94612
(510) 433-1320
Sony Theatres Metreon (THX)
101 Fourth Street (corner of 4th & Mission)
San Francisco, CA 94103
(415) 369-6200
